<< review queue entry 33896 - submitted by 'richwarm' >> The Japanese part seems to be a reference to Autumnal Equinox Day (秋分の日) However, various webpages refer to the Bon Festival as the equivalent of the Chinese Qingming: 日本的”清明节“---盂兰盆节:在日本,“盂兰盆节”是规模仅次于元旦的盛大活动,... and the Bon Festival is in July or August (in different parts of Japan) rather than September. Probably best to leave out the reference to Japan. Regarding "beginning of April" -- I would say that makes it sound like 1st of April (which would be incorrect) Editor: I guess a number of pages would refer to All Soul's Day as the western equivalent of qingming. |
