Usage as a see-saw is pretty rare, used specifically by manufacturers, and generally they are spring-based and not fulcrum-supported devices.

ABC says ya1, but all other sources I checked agree with ya4
It's spelled "seesaw" in Encarta
Don't need the indefinite article in the definition
It seems the more usual word for seesaw is 跷跷板 and google images tends to confirm that
However, it's hard to find a seesaw in google images @ 压板
It really seems to be a board used to apply pressure -- as the hanzi would suggest
This pressure can be magnified by using the lever principle, with a pivot point -- hence the similarity to a seesaw
