Also, it was requested to add more detail in the definitions. This is my attempt at trying to keep them short and not pasting from wikipedia. Note I am calling one a loanword and the other a loan translation (i.e., calque), as lolicon is strictly a phonetic borrowing and the other is, well, half grapheme borrowing and half phonetic. I'm still looking for a good term for these kind of words (e.g., 冰淇淋 and 华尔街 as borrowings from English). "Loanblend" or "loan rendering" are sometimes used, but I'm not sold on these terms yet. |
