I think "overly subjective" misses the mark.

But she first made a fact-finding trip overseas. Seeing Japan's women's cooperatives at first hand was an eye-opening experience.

The integrated curriculum is not something dreamed up by Taiwanese education reformers behind closed doors. "Countries worldwide are in the process of integrating the curricula for their nine or more years of compulsory education, and Taiwan has to catch up,"

Of course, the R&D center can't become just an ivory tower. Once set up in Taiwan there will be many opportunities for cooperation with local R&D institutions and companies.

For a company to stay ahead, it cannot rely solely on its own efforts, but must work with local research organizations.

Wang reminded writers that they can't close themselves off from the rest of society. They have to move along with the people and pay attention to what's going on.

In these venues, true artists can get regular chances to show their skills in public, instead of just locking themselves away in their home studios, or begging for recognition from a label.
