Instead of that phrase, we often use "see ..." if the two words are synonyms. Example: 比堅尼 比坚尼 [bi3 jian1 ni2] /see 比基尼[bi3 ji1 ni2]/ However, it wouldn't be wrong to do it this way: 比堅尼 比坚尼 [bi3 jian1 ni2] /bikini (loanword)/ (Note: If the definition is complicated, and likely to be edited in the future, we are more likely to use the "see ..." format, so that we only have to edit one entry rather than two.) So for 恐水病, we could have a) 恐水病 恐水病 [kong3 shui3 bing4] /rabies/ or b) 恐水病 恐水病 [kong3 shui3 bing4] /see 狂犬病[kuang2 quan3 bing4]/ We currently use format (a) and I don't think there's a problem with it. |
