Please improve this attempt to clean up this entry. I am not a speaker of Malay or in a region which would use this term. However, there are several issues with this entry:

1) The 'also pr.' portion is not bracketed []
2) The 'also pr.' format does not conform to the majority of dictionary items which use numbered pinyin.
3) 'gānbōng' is not valid pinyin and does not convert to zhuyin. It also doesn't appear to be Malay. Google searches provide 19 results, all of which likely stem from this entry in the CC-CEDICT.

Fixing this entry should help with various software tools which use CC-CEDICT as a backend.

"kampong" is an English word.
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/kampong

> 'gānbōng' is not valid pinyin.
That's why we didn't use square brackets.

> does not convert to zhuyin
You can write it as ㄍㄢ ㄅㄨㄥ.

> 'gānbōng' also doesn't appear to be Malay.
Of course not. Our entry says it *imitates* Malay, not that it *is* Malay.
It's a pronunciation used by speakers of Mandarin in Singapore and Malaysia.

> all of which likely stem from this entry in the CC-CEDICT.
No, we are not the source. The following webpage is the source:
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E7%94%98%E6%A6%9C

> The 'also pr.' format does not conform to the majority of dictionary items which use numbered pinyin.
That's because this is an unusual case.

> The 'also pr.' portion is not bracketed []
That's because 'gānbōng' is not valid pinyin, as you pointed out.
