Most recently, it is part of the title of the book 麗島狂想：FORMOSA的祕密. ----------------------------- Editor: "conventionally used as a poetic name for Taiwan" I think the word that best matches that description is 美麗島 rather than 麗島. 美麗島：台灣的舊稱，葡萄牙文福爾摩沙的意譯。 I don't see 麗島 used to mean Formosa other than in that book. |
