<< review queue entry 60911 - submitted by 'richwarm' >> LAC GF GR K M J a) "bisexual" can be a noun, but as a noun it's a person. 两性 is not a person. b) a hermaphrodite is (usually) an organism; 两性 is not. On the other hand, the adjective "hermaphroditic" may be OK when 两性 is used attributively, and it would be less ambiguous than the adjective "bisexual". But maybe the gloss I submitted ("male and female") is sufficient. c) "having two characteristics" -- there is hardly anything in the universe that doesn't have at least two characteristics. d) 两性 means "heterosexual"?! amphoteric https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%85%A9%E6%80%A7_(%E5%8C%96%E5%AD%B8) |
