This was rejected before by ycandau because he deemed it unnecessary because there is already 内心 and 深处. However, one of my tests for 成语 colloquialism is whether there are significant hits for a four-字 expression (e.g., putting it in double-quotes in Google). There are over 3 million hits for "内心深处" (in quotes) in Google, meaning these four 字 (or, if you will, the two sets of two 字) are commonly bound together. However slight, there is a unique bound semantic meaning of this 4字 次 separate from the semantic meanings of the two pairs of 次.

Editor: "in one's heart of hearts" is often associated with a feeling that one denies at some level (e.g. "I didn't want to admit it, but in my heart of hearts, I knew that was true.") There's no such connotation with 內心深處, as far as I can tell. I looked at a number of examples such as this one:

十六年前,只因鄰家小孩請他摺一架紙飛機玩耍,喚起了他內心深處的飛行夢,從此一頭栽入紙飛機的天地。雖然大學讀的是中文系,和航太、機械原理一點也扯不上邊,但說起空氣動力學,他的功力一點也不輸物理老師。
When 16 years ago a neighbor's child asked Chuo to make a paper airplane, his dream of flight was called up from deep within, and from that moment on he was suddenly immersed in the world of the paper airplane. Although he majored in Chinese at the university level and had no courses at all dealing with aerospace or mechanics, when it came to aerodynamics he was on a par with any physics teacher.
Diff:
# 內心深處 内心深处 [nei4 xin1 shen1 chu4] /in one's heart of hearts/
+ 內心深處 内心深处 [nei4 xin1 shen1 chu4] /deep in one's heart/
