It appears that 殻 is considered a variant according to MoE:

https://www.moedict.tw/%E8%85%A6%E6%AE%BC
https://www.moedict.tw/%E6%AE%BC
http://dict.variants.moe.edu.tw/yitia/fra/fra02092.htm

Looking at the entries in CC-CEDICT, I see 殼 seems to have many more entries. 殻 is also considered a variant in CC-CEDICT so I think that 腦殻 should be changed to 腦殼.

That having been said, I do see 殻 in zdic:
http://www.zdic.net/c/1/8c/155541.htm , however pages on Wikipedia and other sites seem to all use 脑壳 in simplified, e.g.,
https://zh.wikipedia.org/zh-cn/%E4%B8%AD%E5%9C%8B%E9%BE%8D%E5%B1%AC
http://www.iciba.com/%E8%84%91%E6%AE%BB

Perhaps making 腦殻 a variant or simply leaving 殻 alone as the variant would be good.

Editor: Thanks. I'd say the original cedict entry was based on zdic.

I don't know if this is considered too colloquial to be included in the

I see some ambiguity on this one, but from all of the Taiwanese people that
I have asked, they all pronounce the 角 as jiao3 when it refers to the

Taiwanese Mandarin pronunciation. Here is a link to 台灣教育部's dictionary
which has both pronunciations. Every Taiwanese person that I have asked
says they pronounce it "yi4".

I don't know if the translation should be changed or not, but the pronunciation
is off according to
http://www.cns11643.gov.tw/AIDB/query_general_view_en.do?
page=2&code=3859 and my IME as well.

Editor: well, if you are using trad IME, that explains ...
Try simp IME.

Corrected traditional hanzi. The entry for 注音符號 is correct, this one is not.

(On another note, 轉註 has the same problem but has not been changed, I
believe due to a "variant" problem. However, all of the dictionaries I have
consulted give me only 轉注. http://3.ly/vAnd)

Editor: yes this entry is correct. It is a common orthography. However we have decided to make 注音 the main entry, 註 being a variant. This will be corrected in all such entries.

The variant in the definition is the same as this character, needs to be changed. Also to avoid having to search for the variant character the definition has been included.
Editor: thanks. I am taking the opportunity to undo the damage performed by Karan, always keen to make fanti characters "variants".

Editor : a bit of a mystery to me.
钁 appears in trad sources, 镢 in simp.
鐝 should be a variant from which the simp 镢 is derived, but I don't find it except in Zdic, where it does not refer to 钁

It also shows this in the 3000 Chinese character book by The Far East Book Company. For the meaning of "Russia", the Taiwanese pronunciation is e4. There seems to be a bit of a discrepancy on this one though. MoE has changed its stance on it, however all of the Taiwanese people that I have asked all say that they pronounce it 4th tone.
